1. Elements: The signs of zodiac are divided from categories of three signs symbolized and express its essential nature.
2. Triplicities are the sun signs divided into four groups containing three signd each. Each group is called a triplicity and each of these triplicities denotes an element. An Element symbolizes a fundamental characterization of the sign.
Air signs: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius: Fire Signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius: Earth signs: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn:
Water signs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
3. Feminine Signs: (earth) Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn and (water) Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces. Feminine signs are self-contained and strong through inner reserves.
Masculine Signs: (fire) Aries, Leo, Sagittarius or (Air) Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. Masculine signs are defined as outer-directed and strong through action.
Quadruplicities denotes a quality in the sun sign! They are what makes your sun sign unique. They are Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable! There are no other sun sign with the same charicteristics or combination of how they interact with the out side world.
4. Cardinal Signs: One of the three categories that describe how a sign express itself. Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn initiate activity. 5. Fixed signs: One of the three qualities that describe how a sign express itself. Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius are said to be predisposed to existing pattern and some what resistant to change.
6. Mutable Signs: One of the three qualities describing how a sign express itself. Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces are said to be very adaptable and sometimes changeable.
7. Polarities are the twelve sun signs divided into six groups of two. Each sign in the Zodiac has a Polarity meaning (opposite) characteristics of there own.
a. Aries & Libra are Polarity. Aries is the sign of self. Libra is the sign of partnership.
b. Taurus & Scorpio are polarity. Taurus is the sign of personal possession. Scorpio is the sign of leagacies and shared possessions.
c. Gemini and Sagittarius are polarity. Gemini is the sign of self-expression. Sagittarius is the sign of philosophy.
d. Cancer and Capricorn are polarity. Cancer is the sign of home life. Capricorn is the sign of public life.
e. Leo & Aquarius are polarity. Leo is the sign of personal pleasure and creativity. Aquarius is the sign of hopes and ideals on a large scale.
f. Virgo and Pisces are polarity. Virgo is the sign of work and self improvement. Pisces is the sign of dreams and self delusion.
8. Hard Aspects: Are aspects in a chart to represent difficulty or challenges. Among the hard aspects is the square! The opposition and the conjunctions
9. Conjunctions: An aspect or angle between two points in a chart where the two points are closed enough so that the energies join can be considered either harmonious or challenging, depending in the planets involved & their placement.
10. Retrograde: Apparent backward motion of a planet. It’s a illusion caused by a reflective motion of the earth & other planets in their orbits.
11. Sun Sign: The sign of the zodiac in which the sun is located at any given time.
12. Planetary Ruler ship: The sign in which a planet is most harmoniously placed. Examples are the Sun in Leo, Jupiter in Sagittarius.
13. Procession of Equinox: The gradual movement of the point of the Spring Equinox location at 0’ Degrees Aries. This point marks the beginning of the tropical Zodiac. The point moves slowly backward through the constellations of zodiac, so that about every 2000 yrs the Equinox begins in an earlier constellation.
14. Tropical Zodiac: Begins at o’ degrees Aries where the sun is located during the spring Equinox.
15. Houses: Divisions of the horoscope into twelve segments, beginning with the Ascendants. The dividing line between the houses is called house cups.
